Set of Vallauris Plates

£180.00

A set of French handcrafted Mid Century Vallauris ceramic dinner plates c. 1950. These circular forest green vintage plates are made and signed by Humbert Pittari, and produced in France's famous pottery region of Vallauris. Picasso lived in Vallauris where he experimented with the craft, and the International Biennial of Ceramics is still held in the town.

The handmade nature of each piece means there is great depth and interest to the colour and glaze. As these are essentially plain, they can easily be paired with other pieces or sets of different colour and pattern.

Each plate is 23 x 23 cm and stamped on the back ‘H Pittari Vallauris’

We currently have 12 of these plates in stock, they are priced per set of 6. If you’d like all 12 please change the quantity to 2 at check out.

Some light signs of age in places as can be expected, but no cracks or chips.
