Dutch Modernist Rope Chair
A rare early Modernist rope and wood chair from The Netherlands. This Dutch piece dates from around 1930 and is evocative of the work of Bas Van Pelt. Features a twisted woven rope cord seat, gridded back rest and peg joints. The wooden frame is hand carved with circular designs in a Folk Art style.

Very good vintage condition with some minor signs of age and use. All the weaving is strong and usable, as is the frame.
