A solid wood antique side table by 19th Century furniture marker Alfred Carter. Well made in a very simple design with straight tapered legs atop brass castors. This versatile piece can work as a desk, small dining table, or side table. Made in London in the 1800s. Makers’ label reads Alfred Carter, 47 Holborn Viaduct, London. Alfred Carter joined forces with John Carter in 1899 and continued trading under the name Carters until the middle of the 20th Century.
